Wills, without the mystery
Over half of UK adults have no Will. Not because they don't care who inherits, but because making one has always meant an appointment, an hourly rate, and a lot of language nobody explains. Willow exists to remove all three.

What Willow is
Willow is a self-service, document-generation platform. You answer a series of questions about yourself, your family, and your wishes, in plain English, with every question explained. Our software uses your answers to produce a complete Will from a solicitor-reviewed template for England and Wales. You review it, print it, sign it in front of two witnesses, and store it somewhere safe.
Most people finish in under 10 minutes. You can save your progress and come back on any device, and you pay nothing until you're ready to download.

What "solicitor-reviewed" means, exactly
It means our underlying templates and standard clauses have been reviewed by a solicitor. It does not mean a solicitor reads, drafts, or advises on your individual document, no solicitor sees your answers or your finished Will. We'd rather say that plainly on an About page than bury it in a footnote.
Where we draw the line
To be clear about what we don't do:
- We don't give legal advice, or assess whether a Will is the right solution for you.
- We don't judge whether the options on Willow suit your circumstances, or whether a clause achieves what you intend.
- We don't check testamentary capacity, undue influence, or fraud, or verify anyone's identity.
- We don't supervise or witness your signing, that part is yours, and it's the part that makes the Will valid.
No solicitor-client relationship is created between you and Willow. You decide what goes in your Will, and you're responsible for checking that it reflects your wishes.
Who we're for
Willow works well for people with straightforward to moderately complex estates: those with children, a property, specific gifts to leave, and funeral preferences. To use our service you must be at least 18, have the capacity to make a valid Will, and be making a Will governed by the law of England and Wales.
England & Wales only
Succession law differs in Scotland and Northern Ireland, so Willow isn't currently suitable for residents there, or for anyone making a Will under another country's law.
For individuals and couples
You act for yourself as a private individual, or, with Mirror Wills, together with your partner. Willow isn't built for acting on someone else's behalf or in the course of a business.
When to see a solicitor instead
If you own a business, hold assets abroad, want a trust, are worried about a dispute, or need inheritance tax planning, our sister company Pax Heredum can help, or use the Law Society's "Find a Solicitor" service.

Three plans, and a handful of optional extras. A solicitor typically charges £150 to £300 for a single Will.
Basic Will, £49.99
For a single person with straightforward wishes: executors and substitutes, cash and item gifts, and your residuary estate.
Premium Will, £99.99
As Basic, plus guardians for children, property gifts, funeral wishes, and unlimited gifts.
Mirror Wills, £149.99
Two Premium-level Wills for a couple, each reflecting the other's wishes, at one combined price.

Your data stays yours
Your Will contains some of the most personal information you'll ever write down. Your answers are saved to your own password-protected account, stored with reputable third-party providers, and never sold or used for marketing. You can delete your account, and everything in it, permanently, at any time, from the account menu.
How we're regulated
Will-writing is not a "reserved legal activity" under the Legal Services Act 2007, which means it is lawful in England and Wales for an unregulated business to provide Will-writing services. Willow is not a firm of solicitors, so complaints about our service cannot be taken to the Legal Ombudsman, and we are not covered by the SRA Compensation Fund. If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can put it right; if we can't resolve it between us, Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards service can offer general guidance.
